NACEUR BEN CHEIKH (1943-2001)

Born in 1943 in Akouda, he is a painter. He participated over the last forty years in debates concerning the critical study of contemporary Arab art.

He was, from 1986 to 1988, director of the magazine Dialogue, and, from 1995 to 2002, founding director of the School of Fine Arts of Sfax and director of that of Tunis. Professor in sciences and techniques of art at the University of Manouba in 2006.
