Born in 1977, he studied architecture at the School of Architecture and Urbanism of Tunis (ENAU). Othmane Taleb is a multidisciplinary artist who has been evolving in the visual arts milieu since 2006, in parallel with his creative work, he has evolved and worked in the world of architecture and urban design. His work has allowed him to deepen the art of observation and communication and to add to the weight of words the power of the image while bringing together technical skills, rigor, and sensitivity.

Rich from these numerous travels and training/missions abroad, Othmane Taleb has developed his unique style, but also acquired an ease and spontaneity that allow him to sensitively explore mixed techniques in painting and drawing.
Othmane Taleb develops a new aesthetic, nourished by the passage of time and space. The inspiration of the line seems to guide an often figurative work: it finds its full fulfillment with subjects and themes touching on the human being and exploring through an accumulation of "layers of life" stemming from our contemporary issues and transposed to past eras.

He is often in search of a kind of contemporary architecture of the human being, through a visual passage between strata of lived experiences, this in order to prepare the journey with a set of forms, tones, human stories, different cultures, and living conditions, towards a new reading of figurative art by continuing to push the boundaries of classical representation even further.
Othmane Taleb has shown his work, in Tunisia (galleries and biennials), abroad, at the Tunisia Pavilion 57th Venice Biennale (The Absence of Path), Beirut Art Fair 2017, artist residency at the Glass Box (Paris), and various private galleries, DDessin drawing fair 2017 / 2018 with "la maison de la plage", Senegal at the Dakar off Biennale (Bind Contemporary), Switzerland, Morocco, and more recently in 2019 at the SISLEY foundation in Paris.

"To truly absorb every detail of the lines delicately drawn on the paintings that illustrate the exodus of refugees to Europe, one must approach the canvas. The lines are always so lightly drawn in pencil, yet they nevertheless manage to provide powerful images that one would normally only see in fragments in the daily news"

- Lilia Blaise.

His works are part of the permanent collections of the Tunisian government, Attijari Bank, and numerous collectors in Tunisia and abroad (Dubai, Singapore, France, Spain, USA, Benin, etc.). He has been exhibiting since 2007, and works with Hajer Azouz (la maison de la plage), curator and interior architect based in La Marsa.

Othmane lives in Tunis and works between Paris and Tunis.
