Mehdi Bouanani (DaBro), painter, born in 1978 in Tunisia, lives and works between Paris and Tunis.
Graduated from the Higher Institute of Fine Arts of Tunis, he develops a practice focused on portraiture, explored through various mediums — charcoal, spray paint, acrylic, and oil. His work combines urban and cultural influences, revealing human figures full of emotion and life.
Active on the international scene, Mehdi Bouanani has created several major public murals, including a portrait of Farhat Hached inaugurated in Paris in 2013. He has participated in emblematic projects such as Paris Tour13 and Djerbahood, consolidating his reputation in contemporary urban art.
His work, rich in dialogues between Tunisian and European cultures, is regularly exhibited in France, Tunisia, Spain, Italy, and Switzerland. He continues to develop an engaged approach, sensitive to issues of identity, memory, and belonging.
