OUSSEMA TROUDI

Born in 1980 in Tunis, Oussema Troudi is a visual artist trained at the Lycée Pilote des Arts in Tunis (1994–1998) and the Institut Supérieur des Beaux-Arts de Tunis (1998–2005). He began exhibiting regularly in Tunis in 2006. Since 2003, he has been teaching drawing, printmaking, and art history in Tunisian universities. In 2015, he founded and led *Plastikos* (a university art club). Between 2016 and 2017, he co-founded *État d’urgence*, a cultural journal published intermittently.

His artistic practice is experimental and conceptual, alternating between drawing, painting, paper works, artist’s books, installations, and digital works — a multidisciplinary and boundary-crossing approach. With the temperament of a graphic designer, his work revolves primarily around hyperrealist drawing, while also embracing painting, video, and installation.

His works have been shown in various exhibitions in Tunis and are part of prestigious private collections in Tunisia, as well as the public collection of the Ministry of Culture in Tunisia.
